In this position, you will be responsible for the procurement of supply for Monopiles, Transitions pieces, Secondary steel for foundations (Boat landing, External platform, Suspended internal platforms (SIPs) and anode cages), Jackets and other elements related to the foundation structures of major offshore wind projects and other related services during development, construction and operation phase of an offshore wind farm.

Role & Responsibility
Your role will entail:
- The development and implementation of supply chain and procurement strategy for the supply of Foundation components and potential transportation to
- storage/staging port, , shortlisting the relevant contractors and selecting the final supplier in accordance with the project procurement and contract management strategy, the market situation, our clients’ overall strategy and their needs on the specific project, ultimately enabling the contract signature and supporting the realization of the project.
- The planning, implementation and execution of procurement and/or tender strategies.
- The drafting (together with and supported by legal) and negotiation of contracts for single projects, project portfolios and frame agreements Typically Fidic Yellow book based or bespoke contracts potentially including transportation and other related auxiliary scopes (i.e. marshaling scopes etc) in order to secure the most favourable price and contract for the customer.
- Provide guidance and advice to our clients on a variety of commercial and contractual matters relevant for the FOU supply scopes (e.g. manufacturingprogramme, liabilities, risk profile, risk mitigation, LDs, interface to other CAPEX supply scopes, Installation and WTG interfaces etc).
- On a day-to-day basis through the procurement process you will:
- Lead and coordinate commercial, technical, financial and legal expertise from both our clients and within JUMBO, while in turn ensuring compliance with our clients' governance and approval procedures;
- Look to provide maximum value to our clients in terms of quality, price and schedule while minimizing risks;
- Provide procurement best practice and structure to our clients by producing a package of documents for tendering describing to the market what the client is looking for
- Lead and perform the complete procurement process including issuing of requests for information, requests for proposals and tenders, evaluating proposals, recommending the shortlisting, selection and award of and eventually finalising contracts;
- Ensure that the procurement process is executed according to client policies and procedures, and documented in order to allow transparency and traceability throughout;
- Identify all value items and their relationship within the FOU supplyscope as well as their interface with related scopes (WTG supply, T&I supply, etc.) and set the tender strategy according to a well-defined shortlisting, selection and awarding criteria;
- Find all missing information and make all needed considerations (e.g. quantify risk exposures, price adjustments) for making an “apple to apple” comparison among the tender responses.
- Manage communication with the suppliers in order to make sure that quantitative and qualitative inputs to any /RFPs are received (e.g. clarifications, alignment of expectations, being focal points for questions etc).
- Coordinate the flow of information internally and externally keeping all stakeholders (e.g. technical, finance, legal) informed on progress;
- Finalize the commercial and contractual deal as a basis for the contractual finalization through standard general conditions and/or managing exceptions to those together with legal and the main stakeholders;
- Achieve maximum value while minimizing delivery, quality and performance risks. Find compromises and solutions to drive negotiations to a close under time pressure;
- Actively participate in vendor relationship management, including: general communications and regular meetings, maintaining and improving vendor and market knowledge.
Further to your work on major offshore wind developments, you will also have the opportunity to be involved in:
Business Development:
- Marketing, e.g. Contributing to editorials, industry news and events.
- Client development and industry engagement.
- Support to the overall group through contributing to our specialist knowledge centers and the development of best practices anchored in guidelines, processes, tools and templates.
Training & Development:
- Contribute or host informal and formal training sessions with the overall group.
- Contribute to the development of online education courses alongside our partner, the Renewable Construction Academy (RECOA).
Who are we looking for?
We are seeking passionate and motivated procurement professionals that are aligned to our Vision and excited by the opportunities and challenges of working in a rapidly expanding international business. Ideally, you will have:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field of study.
- Experience in a similar role, preferably in a matrix organization.
- Experience within onshore wind, offshore wind or offshore renewable energy industry. Experience in major infrastructure and energy projects is welcomed.
- Experience with leading and managing procurement and tender processes.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills.
- Structured and methodical way of working.
- Ability to project manage processes and lead negotiations.
